Home.pl has been operating on the internet service market since September 1997. Since November 2000 home.pl is first on a list of TOP100 Internet Providers in Poland with over 14.500 domains kept.

General characteristic of hosting accounts

Every account is automatically set-up and activated after filling out an on-line questionnaire. The trial period lasts 14 days from the moment of account activation. During the trial period the user may test all the features of an account without undertaking any obligations. The use of an account within the trial period remains unrestricted and unlimited. All the features incorporated in the Home.pl web site as well as in this offer are fully functioning and operating.

After receiving your payment we will issue a VAT invoice which confirms the transaction. Please note that the VAT invoice is issued for telecommunication services, therefore it does not need to be signed.

Business Server

WWW account is a complex service containing e-mail account and WWW server. It enables quick and not expensive internet presence by publishing own website and handling your mail.

Business Server contains features which may be satisfying not only for personal usage but also for commercial customer who intend to use it as an advertising medium.

Business Server includes:

• 100 MB megabytes (MB) web server for your website. Website might be accessible under free domain right after registration.
• ability of your own domain usage when registered
• 100 megabytes (MB) e-mail account with catch-all options, which allows you to receive any mail sent to your domain; e.g. e-mail with catch all will receive such e-mails as info@your_domain.com, president@your_domain.com, szczecin@your_domain.com
• possibility of dividing e-mail storage space to additional mailboxes - minimal limit 2 MB for each,
• FTP access - enabling fast update of your website,
• ability to register additional 100 MB e-mail accounts under your domain,
• daily statistics of website traffic,
• unique IP number,
• anonymous FTP server allows your users to download files from your website, without having to log in, or find the download links within your web pages. Create your own customized file downloads section freely accessible for anyone under e.g. ftp.your_domain.com
• easy to configure limited access to certain files utilizing log on procedure,
• ability of usage of your own PHP, Perl, C, C++, Python scripts,
• you can use your own Error-page design,
• data transfer limit up to 10 GB monthly.

Business Server is 600 PLN annually or 350 PLN for 6 month. Prices do not include VAT where applicable. Additional e-mail accounts under your domain are 50 PLN each (+VAT).

PRO accounts

This enhanced version of basic accounts contains features which enable you or your company to run advanced internet projects. Extensive mail, database, searching and cataloging systems as well as complete file archive make PRO version a valuable resource.

Business Server PRO gives you:

• an additional 100 MB for WWW server – now you can run an extensive and complex service,
• 100 MB storage space for e-mail account – the perfect solution for additional mailbox management or extensive mailing,
• access to MySQL database - a very fast, reliable and easy to use database, perfect for complex internet projects. It is equipped with phpMyAdmin – a powerful tool that lets you manage your MySQL database through your web browser. You will also receive additional assistance in order to fulfill IGPD (Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data) requirements,
• the ability to implement on-line real-time credit card processing in cooperation with E-card,
• an additional 5 GB of data transfer quota per month,

The cost of Pro Extension is 300 PLN annually. The price does not include VAT where applicable. Pro Extension can be activated at any time and the first payment will be charged proportionally to the remaining time on your Business Server account. A trial period of 14 days is also applicable for Pro Extension.

A domain name is an individual identification of unique characters, all of which combine to create the desired name of your company, organization or product. Once you have decided to register a domain, we will process your information, resulting in successful registration.

Technical info

Technical facilities are kept in Warsaw in Poland’s biggest data center. The data center utilizes an ATM 155 Mbps connection to the largest providers such as TPNET, NASK, POL34, ICM as well as to international links via the Sprint network (ATM 155 Mbps through Berlin + ATM 155 Mbps through Prague).

In addition, within data center infrastructure we are utilizing WIX interconnection node (Warsaw Internet Exchange) which provides 100 Mbps access to WIX’s member networks such as Aster City, ATMAN, EraGSM, Formus, MediaNet, Netia, Polbox, PlusGSM, Polska Online, Supermedia and Telbank.

More than 70,000 user accounts are being kept on a cluster of 45 - one and two processor Intel servers with speeds ranging up to 2.4 GHz, 512 Kb cache, RAM sizes of 1.5 GB and disc arrays of 120 GB.
Servers are interconnected into two parallel Ethernets with bandwidths of 100 Mbits/s. They utilize Intel switches and a Cisco router and Netscreen firewall. Your data is protected by a two separate back-up process on servers with a disc array of 2 TB placed in different cities. Data Center power supply is guaranteed by a 2 tons of UPS system. In case of any power supply malfunction it is adequate for 24 hours of continuous work.
